I would like to congratulate the men's basketball team on its hard-fought win over Michigan State on Saturday and thank them for their generous support of the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon and the kids. The students of Thon appreciate all the support the team has given us this year with such events as dodgeball, Target Ten games and auctions, as they help us raise money through donating signed merchandise.
The monetary donation does not compare to the invaluable amount of awareness they have helped Thon gain. More people are aware of our fight against childhood cancer, and more people will get involved and attend Thon this year because of our relationship with basketball.
I would like to personally thank Greg Myford, Loren Crispell and Matt Checchio for all their time and effort on behalf of basketball as they work for the kids. I wish the team the best of luck with the rest of the season and beyond. Go State, beat cancer!
