Anderson named volleyball tournament MVP

Penn State outside hitter Matt Anderson was named Most Outstanding Player of the Hawaii Outrigger Tournament.

Anderson achieved this honor after tallying 62 kills in three matches, leading all players in the category every night. He also scored consistently high hitting percentages, including a .519 mark in the tournament finale against Ball State.

Anderson also recorded seven blocks, two service aces and 14 digs.

Middle hitter Max Holt and setter Luke Murray were the other Nittany Lions named to the all-tournament team. Holt recorded 24 kills, 15 blocks and one service ace, while Murray contributed 142 assists, 14 digs, 14 blocks and two kills.
