Penn State fans can vote for quarterback Anthony Morelli in his quest for the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award this season. The award is given to the nation's best college quarterback as selected by a panel of sports journalists and former winners. Starting this season, a fan vote will count for 5 percent of the final tally.
The top three fan vote selections will be added to the semifinal candidate list before the list is narrowed to three finalists. The winner will be announced at The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN on Dec. 6. Ohio State's Troy Smith won the award last year.
Any of the 119 Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division 1-A) quarterbacks are eligible for the award. Fans can vote for Morelli by visiting www.daveyobrien.com.
