Penn State beats Cal State-Fullerton 2-0

The Penn State men's soccer team scored twice in the second half to register a 2-0 victory against Cal State-Fullerton at UCLA's Frank Marshall Field at Drake Stadium.

The Nittany Lions (2-3-0, 0-0-0 Big Ten) scored in the 47th minute when freshman defender Jon Davidsson found sophomore midfielder Vincent Salvatico for the goal. It was Salvatico's first career goal and Davidsson's first career assist.

Jacobo Vera scored his first goal of the 2007 campaign on a assist from Jason Yeisley in the 81st minute to secure the win for Penn State, which outshot Cal State-Fullerton 12-5 in the game. It was Yeisley's fifth point of the season, which leads the team.

Penn State will now face No. 17 UCLA at Frank Marshall Field at Drake Stadium at 5:00 p.m. ET Sunday. UCLA leads the all-time series 4-0.
