The university could levy a number of punishments upon Penn State football players police said were involved in an off-campus fight last spring, Penn State President Graham Spanier said this weekend.
Spanier said some typical punishment possibilities would include anger management courses, suspension or probation. Spanier did not say what, if any, of the punishments would be issued. Spanier, speaking from the sidelines at Saturday's Penn State football game against Notre Dame, refused to comment on specific players.
Six players were connected with the fight in April, police said. Two players, starting safety Anthony Scirrotto and reserve defensive tackle Chris Baker, are still facing charges. They await trial in October.
