HUB to hold bioenergy conference
A conference on bioenergy will bring researchers and government officials involved in the development of "green energy" to the HUB-Robeson Center today and tomorrow.
"Cross-Over 2007 -- Bioenergy: From Fields to Wheels" will feature researchers from Penn State and other universities, key government officials and industry partners involved in developing sustainable and renewable alternative energy sources, supplies and programs.
Topics include plant production, plant transformation, chemical catalysis and engine and vehicle testing.
The event is open to the public with walk-in registration.
Math department to hold seminars
David Witte Morris of the University of Lethbridge in Canada will hold a seminar today.
The seminar, "Ratner's Theorems on Unipotent Flows: Part Two," is at 3:30 p.m. in 216 McAllister Building.
The Department of Mathematics is hosting the event.
The Department of Mathematics is also hosting a seminar with Penn State professor George Andrews today.
The seminar, "Symmetry in Q-Series Transformations," will be held at 3:35 p.m. in 315 McAllister Building.
