The Penn State men's rugby team routed the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Tooters Friday night at East Field, 64-3. The Ruggers dominated on defense and offense all game.
While the Ruggers were strong for the entire game, they were especially overpowering in the first half, totaling eight tries. The defense rarely let up, keeping the Tooters out of Penn State territory much of the game and putting some vicious hits on the opposition.
The team struck early with a try by Chris Mericle. He later added another try. Luke Roberts, Alex Jaffey and Tim Antoian also each added two tries in the winning effort.
