Letter to the Editor
UPUA must be more forceful and bring change to PSU

Congratulations, Penn State students. You have proved, as on State Patty's Day, that when students really care and organize, it scares the crap out of the administration and we get what we want.

Congratulations, UPUA, on being completely useless in this case.

Congrats on not even being able to save yourselves, because you are so irrelevant your own administration masters now ignore you and can't bother to show up to a meeting to approve your new constitution.

Congrats on being quoted numerous times as a student "advocacy group" instead of a government, because even that designation is a big stretch for your small clique of resume-happy future bureaucrats.

What am I supposed to think when I read, once again, how the administration is screwing you over, underneath an article about the price of laundry?

There's no way any student with self-respect would want to associate with you.

For just one minute, stand up and say "I'm not going to take it anymore."

You have absolutely nothing to lose. Unless you plan on getting a job referral from Vicky Triponey or Graham Spanier.

Stop blaming the students for being passive. They are obviously not.

Stop blaming the administration for your failure.

We all know they are trying to wipe you out, so stop acting surprised at it. Organize a rally and make it work, no excuses.

Pass out fliers, make shirts like you need to get elected again.

Make a Facebook group and tell
everyone about it. Call out voters and the administration.

We get what we deserve only after you have tried everything you can, really tried. Actually use the power you have.

You are adults, believe it or not, so earn my respect and start acting like it.
