Lottery allowed students to scalp football tickets

The lottery system may be Penn State's worst idea to date. Rather than allowing the diehard fans to respond immediately to tickets becoming available, they have left it up to chance.

A lottery is an open invitation for everyone who doesn't care about football to enter the lottery and sell their season tickets for $700 just like last year.

I hope the school seriously reconsiders this policy or is prepared to crack down on people selling their tickets at five times face value.
