Seinfeld is famous for his popular sitcom Seinfeld, which followed the lives of four friends living in New York City. The show has won many awards and has given birth to recognizable catch phrases like "Yada, yada, yada" and "No soup for you!"
"I'm a big fan of the show," Dave Leviten (freshman-media studies) said. "It's funny how he can talk about everyday things and keep going on and on."
While there are still tickets available for the 9:30 p.m. show, the 7 p.m. show sold out very quickly.
"When I got the tickets there was like a huge line," Leviten said. "I think they sold out in a couple hours."
Unlike 2005 when both shows sold out in one day, Sullivan attributes only one sold-out show to a loss of momentum due to spring break.
"Right before spring break the first show sold out in one day," Sullivan said. "The promoter decided to wait until after spring break to announce the second show at 9:30. So we lost a bit of momentum with waiting until after break."
The unusually expensive ticket prices were considered as well. But students are willing to pay the price.
"They were a little expensive, but to see a guy like him, it's worth it. He's kind of like a legend," Leviten said. Another student, John Cantone (senior-finance) said he was actually surprised at how cheap the tickets were.
"I thought they were pretty cheap," Cantone said. "I went to another show of his in Wilkes-Barre and it was $100 a ticket, and in Atlantic City they were $200."
Also on the bill is up-and-coming comedian Tom Papa, who was handpicked by Seinfeld to be the opening comedy act.
Papa has appeared numerous times on late-night talk shows with David Letterman, Jay Leno and Conan O' Brien.
Tickets for the 9:30 p.m. performance can be purchased online at cpa.psu.edu or at Eisenhower ticket center.
