The University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA), whose elections are rapidly approaching, held the second of three debates last night.

FX's show The Riches premiered a little over a month ago to overwhelming critical acclaim. As a lover of good television, I was curious to see what all the "buzz" was about.

The largest crowd — comprised largely of fans wearing maroon and orange — in Blue-White Game history saw the White team defeat the Blue team, 30-6.

In his first public comment about the incident, Joe Paterno said he isn't worried about reports that his players were involved in a fight downtown earlier this month.

Neil Lane has done a lot of service for the country -- everything from advising President Clinton to babysitting Socks, the former first cat.

Mandatory sexual assault awareness training will be removed from the First-Year Testing, Counseling and Advising Program (FTCAP) beginning this summer, prompting concerns from some in the university community.

Although Penn State is located hours away from the site of the Virginia Tech tragedy, students in Happy Valley are planning several ways to honor the victims during tomorrow's Blue-White football game.

Some members of the local Asian community say they are bracing for any possible racist retaliation for Monday's Virginia Tech shootings in which the gunman, a South Korea native, killed 32 people, then himself.

Recycling at Penn State started as grassroots efforts in the early '70s, spearheaded by student groups and other concerned individuals.

The State College Area School District canceled school and all school-sponsored activities today after a threatening note was found at about 3:15 p.m. yesterday in a bathroom located on the second floor of the high school's South Building.

As late as eight minutes before his speech was about to start, John Amaechi said he had no idea what he was going to say.

There's one thing that topped Tom Doody's list when he was looking for a job for after graduation in May -- and it even beat a desire for a top-notch salary.

Thirty-two bell chimes resounded in the worship hall of the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center at noon yesterday, each one honoring a victim of the Virginia Tech massacre.

Whatever concerns fans may have entering tomorrow's annual Blue-White game should be irrelevant come bowl season, if this Penn State football team accomplishes what it intends to.

SPORTS

On the verge of what may be the most important weekend in the history of Penn State rugby, the men's and women's teams will serve as host to the USA Rugby 2007 Collegiate Playoffs' Round of 16.

Accepting the harsh reality of Wednesday's blowout to Mount St. Mary's, senior second baseman Matt Cavagnaro called it "a game we should have won."

This weekend's road trip should test every aspect of the Penn State softball team's game and will force the Nittany Lions to prove they can win any style of game.

As the Penn State men's lacrosse team prepares for its sixth ECAC game this season, it will be playing for a little more than a mere conference win.

For the six seniors on the No. 8 Penn State women's lacrosse team, tonight will be a time to celebrate their careers as Nittany Lions.

He was asked if he put too much pressure on himself, if at times last season he pressed too hard.

Justin King had never heard a quarterback "talk trash" on the field, although he's played in every game for Penn State the past two seasons.

The Penn State baseball club has been defined by its pitching staff for years. This year is no different.

Former pro golfer Bobby Jones once said, "Competitive golf is played mainly on a five-and-a half-inch course, the space between your ears." Nothing could be more true to the Penn State men's golf team.

The Penn State women's golf team will use its last competition before the Big Ten championship as preparation for the highly anticipated tournament.

The No. 22 Penn State women's track and field team will stay close to home this weekend when they travel to compete at the Bucknell Team Challenge tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Lewisburg, PA.

Originally, the Jim Thorpe Invitational was to be held at Nittany Lion Track tomorrow, but due to a lack of interest, the Penn State men's track and field team did not have to look far for another meet.

ARTS
