Police have arrested one man and are searching for another in connection with the Feb. 7 shooting of a woman at her Toftrees apartment, according to a press release.

Leah Braun, one of the many students that gathered in front of the TV in Waring commons to watch news coverage of the shootings at Virginia Tech, said one of her best friends attends the college.

A day of remembrance for millions of Jewish men, women and children killed during World War II was held in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center this afternoon.

Sports can be downright unusual at some points. Take for instance the first time the Penn State men's tennis team lost back-to-back matches last season. That date was April 14, 2006 when after a loss to Ohio State, the Nittany Lions fell to Minnesota.

The Penn State women's tennis team (9-10, 3-5 Big 10) won it's home finale, 5-2, over Michigan State Saturday afternoon.

The No. 8 Penn State women's lacrosse team entered Saturday afternoon's game with hopes of knocking off the nation's best. Despite staying close with No. 1 Northwestern at the game's outset, the Wildcats were able to pull away from the Nittany Lions, cruising to a 19-8 win at Lakeside Field.

Toughness isn't a term that is often associated with the sport of golf. But with its performance this weekend, the Penn State men's golf team may have challenged that preconception.

As the first game of the doubleheader was ending, Pete Chalfin went into the bullpen at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park and starting throwing a ball to his catcher to warm up before his start. It was a football.

All season long, Penn State men's gymnastics coach Randy Jepson said he was only concerned about his team improving, not necessarily how his team's opponents scored.

The Penn State women's track and field team proved themselves against world-class competition this weekend at the rain-shortened Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn.

Sometimes, it only takes one inning to win a baseball game.

The Penn State men's track and field team's trip to the University of Tennessee for the Sea Ray Relays this weekend was shorter than anticipated.

A weekend split with No. 7 Northwestern was enough to make the Penn State softball team happy, as the Nittany Lions (19-13, 3-1 Big Ten) capped off yesterday's doubleheader with a 6-5 victory after dropping the first game, 2-0, in Evanston, Ill.

Although there were many tears and regrets at the end of the NCAA regional gymnastics championship, the women of the Penn State gymnastics team promised each other one thing: They will never close out a season like this again.

It wasn't pretty, but the Penn State men's lacrosse team was no less pleased with the outcome of Saturday's conference matchup.

The No. 7 Penn State men's volleyball team closed out its regular season on the road this weekend, but did so without the use of outside hitter Alex Gutor.
