Chronic Town to hold benefit concert

Tonight at 9, the Chronic Town hookah lounge, 224 W. College Ave., will host "Jamnesty," a benefit concert held by the Penn State chapter of Amnesty International. The event will raise money and awareness for areas such as Darfur, a western region of Sudan.

Doors will open at 8 with solo artist Matt Halley. Bands to follow are the Fiddlercrabs, This Place is Haunted and Girls Who Said Yes. The event is an all-ages show and the cover charge is $3. Half of the proceeds will go to Amnesty International's Darfur campaign and the other half will go to the Red Cross' Sudan initiative.
