Blue Band member upset with relocation in stadium

In response to the editorial ("Changes to stadium benefit students," April 10) concerning the moving of the Blue Band to the middle of the student section, I'd like to say to all of the people responsible for the move to quit hiding what they're really doing: trying to make more money.

The fact that they had to sugarcoat this fact with saying that the band will get more TV time and that they won't be playing into the wind is complete crap.

As a member of the Blue Band, I can speak for many members when I say that the location of the band for the past several years has put us at a nice balance of students and regular ticket holders. We are often told that we are heard without any problem. We use that area to our advantage as to have a very accessible area for us to get on and off the field at the appropriate times. So save the entire student body and fan base the crap and just tell the truth: Penn State wants to make money.

This whole thing about providing more tickets to the students is most likely false; I predict those tickets will be sold to the general public.

So much for using the Blue Band as a weapon on gameday. We'll be drowned out.
