Letter to the Editor
Legalization of marijuana not without repercussions

I totally agree with Kimberly Jasorka's letter concerning decriminalization of marijuana ("Reader asks students to rally for legal marijuana," April 9). I believe that in addition to marijuana, meth, coke, acid, heroin etc. should all be legalized.

The government should provide free, unlimited quantities to whoever asks for it, while simultaneously running an anti-drug message to all, on how dangerous and harmful drugs are to individuals and society in general. Billions of dollars would be saved on enforcement, the legal system and prisons, because a majority of criminals incarcerated are either in jail for drug offenses or crimes committed to support their drug habit. Natural selection would then take its course. The addicts would overdose fairly quickly, and the crime rate would plummet. P.S. Kimberley, with the exception of the entertainment field, I have yet to meet a successful pot smoker, over the age of 25. To me, coffee has proven to be far more useful in the business world.
