Logan-El leaves team for personal reasons
Antonio Logan-El, a highly recruited offensive lineman who committed to Penn State last spring, said yesterday that he left the team for personal reasons.
The 6-foot-4, 310 pound Logan-El initially announced his decision to leave the team on his Facebook profile. In an interview yesterday, Logan-El confirmed the initial announcement. He said he's unsure whether or not he'll pursue the opportunity to play football at another university.
Penn State coach Joe Paterno addressed Logan-El's possible departure at spring practice.
"He's got to make up his mind whether he really wants to play football," Paterno said.
Logan-El, who took a red-shirt year last season, is a native of Forestville, Md. He was considered a jewel in last season's recruiting class, which hauled in seven Maryland recruits.
