Working together with NRT's vice president, Peter Lyon (senior-history), Kroberger will divide the participants of NRT into two groups with 10 to 12 members each.
Then, the 24 hours until showtime begins.
This event will be an "opportunity to show off what NRT can do," said Public Relations Chairman Ryan Simmons (sophomore-film).
Lyon said the event promises to be exciting because no one knows exactly what the members of each team will create with the multitude of props and talent.
There is the possibility of being entertained by a "comedy, drama or a Quentin Tarantino bloodfest," Lyon said.
Although Kroberger said he anticipates the two performances will be comical, he said there are no restrictions and no time limit for how long the shows can last.
"We always joke about how shows really come together in the last week. So this is the real test," Simmons said.
He said this performance style has not been done before at Penn State or by any other groups in the area.
He said that he hopes that it will provide Penn State students with an exciting opportunity for "something new and something different."
The teams will each have two members designated as writers, but Kroberger said that the final shows will be a group effort.
"I think it is going to go very well. We have a lot of strong writers," Kroberger said.
With various combinations of cast and different genres of shows, "it's a completely different experience every time," Lyon said.
Kroberger said NRT holds auditions four times a year.
For the fall 2007 semester, NRT will be holding auditions from 6 to 9 p.m. from Monday, April 23 until Thursday, April 26. The auditions will take place in the lobby of the Chambers Building.
