Mike Deese was slumping.

Following a four-game stretch where its offense produced a total of seven runs, the Penn State baseball team looked as if it was finally starting to show some life during its at-bats.

Nothing could go right last night for the No. 10 Penn State women's lacrosse team as mistakes and missed opportunities plagued the team from start to finish in a 16-5 loss at the hands of No. 11 Penn.

Winning a national title can be a peak for many collegiate programs. Earning that No. 1 ranking at season's end just once can be enough for some. But for the Penn State men's gymnastics team, that peak has occurred 11 times.

Even with a postseason appearance and the top spot in the EIVA secured, the Penn State men's volleyball has yet another test to measure how it will fair in the future.
