On March 21, I was able to help the students celebrate the first day of spring by offering a free cup of Rita's water ice to anyone who stopped by. A large number of students joined in the celebration of spring, as I gave out 4,460 cups. I walked up and down the street many times that day and I am proud to say that, of the 4,460 cups distributed, I only found one Rita's cup on the ground. I want to thank everyone for properly disposing of his or her trash and helping to make the downtown area a clean place for everyone to shop. I look forward to celebrating the first day of spring with you again next year.
