Admission is $4, half of which will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Penn State students will model casual, dressy, nightlife and business styles, said Danielle Shavell (senior-public relations), a member of PRSSA's event planning committee. Models and retailers collaborated to find the best looks.
"We just kept trying different things until we found what was perfect," Shavell said.
"Something the model was comfortable in, something the store wanted to showcase, and something that will fit in our show."
The show will also feature music by DJ Caraby, with an intermission performance by the Penn State RAM Squad.
New to the show is sponsorship by SoBe drinks, Cold Stone Creamery, LUNA energy bars and Cereality, all of which will give away gift bags to the first 50 guests.
PRSSA hopes to raise $500 to $1,000.
The group has made changes to this years' show to make it more exciting and draw a bigger crowd, said Heather Allison, co-chairwoman of event planning.
"A fashion show is something that doesn't really happen on campus a lot, and it's a great way for local retailers to showcase their fashions," Allison said. "We're really excited because this year it's so much bigger and better."
Alyssa Crissman (senior-English), fashion coordinator for Sydney Mac Boutique, said it was great working with PRSSA.
"It's a liaison between a good cause and helping State College feel more like a city by showcasing current styles," she said.
