Christianity based on love and does not 'rank' sins

Homosexuality is identified as 'sin' in both the Old and the New Testaments, but it is no different than lying, coveting, etc. Calling something 'sin' implies a value judgment. We're all sinners and have fallen short of God. It's not like I'm a mediocre sinner, but homosexuals -- they're bad sinners. If we're all sinners, the value ascribed to Sinner A is no different than Sinner B. Calling something sin doesn't make you phobic/bigoted, but treating or valuing someone differently does. Homophobics use the Bible as a tool justifying bigoted behavior. Homphobics' opponents misinterpret it out of context. Christ-followers recognize the central message of the Bible is loving regardless of past, predisposition or lifestyle. As for 'natural', there's a genetic predisposition toward alcoholism. Does that make it OK because alcoholics were created that way? Everything in our genetic makeup -- talents, predispositions and even diseases -- is designed to use as a gift (talents) or a burden to work through (predispositions, etc.) in order to bring glory to God.
