Man accidentally shot by girlfriend

A 37-year-old State College man reported he was accidentally shot in the wrist by his 36-year-old girlfriend Wednesday night at 107 Joyce Drive, State College police said.

The man was taken to the hospital by his girlfriend, according to a State College Police press release. He was transferred to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for further treatment, according to the release.

Police said they have searched the residence and interviewed the victim, his girlfriend and neighbors. No charges are pending, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.
