Cereality needs a reality check. Over the weekend several students paid a visit to the store to see what it's all about. The decor was very nice, and I admit it is a cool concept considering cereal is one of my favorite foods. However, I was disappointed when I found I had to pay $4 for a bowl of cereal. I felt like running to Wal-Mart and buying a box of cereal and some milk for less. Needless to say I won't be returning to Cereality. I am sick of expensive chains in State College. Aren't we poor college students? Why do I have to pay $3 for a coffee, $4 for a bowl of cereal and $5 for a scoop of ice cream? State College needs some student-friendly choices and I think it is time for the downtown businesses to realize who their customers are. We are college students paying more than $12,000 a year on tuition who can't afford to "splurge" on cereal or any other downtown treats for that matter, and I for one am looking for a change.
