It is absolutely unbelievable the PSU athletic department has no intention to make our men's basketball team any better. Tubby Smith, the former University of Kentucky basketball coach has just entered the Big Ten and will be coaching the University of Minnesota basketball team. I would like to know why is it that Penn State did not feel a need to pursue somebody as qualified as Smith. The people in charge of hiring head coaches have to be morons if they are satisfied with the job Ed DeChellis has done. Why not bring a guy like Tubby Smith in to help boost recruiting and performance on the court? Penn State needs to take a look around the country and see what coaches are available. A big name coach would do wonders with our credibility as a basketball program. If we keep sitting back and doing nothing, then the Big Ten coaches will get better and better while we are stuck with DeChellis. The athletic department cannot let another Tubby Smith pass us by.
