Burglary: State College police said a laptop computer was stolen during a two-hour period Saturday evening from an unlocked sixth-floor apartment at Penn Tower, 255 E. Beaver Ave. There are no suspects, police said.
Burglary: A witness said a white man wearing a light blue bandanna over his face kicked in the side door of Theta Chi fraternity, 523 S. Allen St., at about 5 a.m. yesterday and stole a silver Philips DVD player, State College police said. The remote was dusted for fingerprints, and there are no suspects, police said.
Burglary: A Hewlett-Packard laptop computer, valued at $1,300, was stolen at about 3 a.m. yesterday from an unlocked apartment at 113 N. Sparks St., State College police said.
Criminal Mischief: A woman reported to State College police that she was hit with a projectile, possibly a BB-gun pellet, in the back at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday near the 200 block of Highland Avenue, police said. She had a small welt on her back, police said. There are no suspects.
Burglary: Used furniture totaling $2,500 was stolen from The Yard Sale Shop, 126 N. Atherton St., overnight Wednesday, State College police said. The incident was reported Thursday afternoon, and police said 16 sofas, 10 loveseats and six chairs were taken from the rear of the building. Police said there are no suspects, and the burglary is currently under investigation.
Burglary: Items from two unlocked vehicles on First Avenue were taken overnight Saturday into yesterday, State College police said. Tobacco products, binoculars and change, totaling about $180, were taken from a car at 536 First Ave., and a cell phone and winter jacket were taken from 361 First Ave., totaling about $140, police said.
