Theater to showcase variety of films

The State Theatre, 130 W. College Ave., will be showing Shane, Das Boot and Paths of Glory this weekend.

Shane, a highly praised western about a gunfighter who attempts to settle down in a small town, will be shown today at 4, 7 and 9:30 p.m. Das Boot, a realistic look at a German U-boat crew in the Battle of the Atlantic during World War II, will be shown at 4 and 7:30 p.m. tomorrow and Wednesday. Paths of Glory, an anti-war film starring Kirk Douglas, will be shown at 4, 7 and 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Tickets for all shows are $7 and can be purchased online at theStateTheatre.org or through the State Theatre box office.
