David Lee Roth, the flamboyant lead singer of Van Halen, once said that "rock critics like Elvis Costello because rock critics look like Elvis Costello."

Penn State Athletic Director Tim Curley announced today he will investigate photographs depicting an alleged hazing incident involving the wrestling team, promising to "take appropriate action against those involved."


The attorney representing a man accused of murdering a Penn State student said he plans to call several witnesses during the trial, including police officers, the man's roommate and a Sheetz worker.

Framed pictures labeled "Heels and Hose Protest" and "Black Student Demonstration" hang along the corridor leading to the HUB's Alumni Hall, celebrating the legacy of activism in Penn State's history.

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell spoke to a crowd of about 50 yesterday at the Nittany Lion Inn to address growing concerns over "a highway and road system that is extremely challenged from years of underfunding."

Nearly 300 students joined in a "We Are ... Penn State!" cheer yesterday at the state capitol, rallying to show support for higher state appropriations to Penn State.

The Daily Collegian's Board of Directors selected Devon Lash (junior-journalism and history) yesterday to replace Erin James as the newspaper's Editor in Chief. The board also selected Carolyn Yanoff (junior-public relations) to replace Craig Rippley as the newspaper's Business Manager.

The No. 1 ranked Penn State fencing team qualified 12 fencers at regionals to compete for their tenth national title in the 2007 NCAA championship this weekend.

Though the size of his hat may have grown over the years, Bill Lippert has worn many baseball caps for the Penn State club baseball team as a player and assistant coach.

On a night that saw goals scored by nine different players, the Penn State women's lacrosse team routed visiting Temple, 17-5, in Holuba Hall.

A 2-12 record through its first 14 games may not have been exactly what the Penn State baseball team was expecting when the season began.

The Penn State men's tennis team will return home today after competing in three road matches last week. The No. 41 Nittany Lions will face familiar opponent Duquesne, who they defeated 7-0 in State College last season.

Penn State's most recognizable men's track and field athlete was at a crossroads earlier this season. High jumper Ryan Fritz had built a lofty reputation for his huge leaps as a freshman, and his follow-up season was expected to be bigger and better.

After getting through its indoor frame, the Penn State women's track and field team is focusing on the outdoor portion of its season after finishing the indoor season with a 21st place finish in the National championships.
