A county judge has determined an assistant district attorney should not be held in contempt for participating in political activities after asking for a postponement of a rape trial.

As Penn State art and architecture students near graduation, portfolios mean everything. Now, in a rising trend among student-artists, portfolios are starting to go electronic.

Three weeks ago, Penn State President Graham Spanier requested a 6.8 percent increase from last year state appropriations, but the proposed 2008 state budget only calls for a 1.6 percent increase.

After suffering its first home loss of the season back on March 4, the Penn State men's tennis team hit the road for three contests in one week. The Nittany Lions were able to regain their swagger as they won all three matches, including a 4-3 upset over No. 21 Michigan, a 7-0 sweep of Army, and a convincing 6-1 victory over South Florida.

The No. 16 Penn State women's gymnastics team turned in stellar individual and team performances to upset the No. 14 Arizona Wildcats on Friday night. The University of Kentucky and Texas Woman's University also competed in the quad meet in Tucson, Ariz.
