I am writing in response to the review of the Nickelback concert because I am angered by the disrespect to each of the bands.
If Adam feels that Nickelback is such an amalgamation of "everything else" and they play "unadventurous" music, why did he bother going in the first place?
The first thing that I was bothered by is the quote from Adam Grontier's lyrics.
Obviously Clair was not listening to the meaning of the song because Grontier is making the statement that he does not want to end up acting the way the people who brought him up did.
His declaration of anti-conformity is not of his fashion sense but that he wants to be a better person in life.
The second thing that bothered me and pretty much what made me write this letter is his blatant lack of attention to details.
Aren't reporters supposed to report factual information?
He claims that Breaking Benjamin is from Harrisburg, if he knew anything about the band he was listening to he would have known that they were from Wilkes Barre, a town that is about 20 minutes from where I live.
Also in defense of Clair's statement of Breaking Benjamin's music being "grayish, monotonous post-grunge alt-metal," they are an amazing band that has constantly been compared to bands such as Powerman 5000, Tool, Nirvana and Korn.
Maybe if Clair wasn't paying so much attention to what the bands were wearing and actually listening to the music, he would've realized this.
I think Clair's efforts would have been better appreciated on the set of of the television show Project Runway.
