Majority of PSU students show class, consideration

I've been paying close attention to the opinion section of the paper these past few weeks. I've read about people who were treated rudely at football games by Penn State students. I've also read about the opposition community members and students felt toward the moving and declaration of State Patty's Day.

After reading the opinions of my fellow students, I began to reflect and realize how horrible Penn State students really are and how terrible this university has become.

Seriously, it's pretty bad that only nine out of every 10 Penn State students will hold a door open for someone who is 10 feet away from a building. It's pretty bad that the majority of Penn State students will go out of their way to help a lost visitor on campus. It's also just downright terrible that Penn State students do not want to be deprived of their right to drink green beer.

I guess you could say that only the majority of students hold doors and help each other out. I know there are a few students who scream obscenities at games and who also abuse alcohol on a regular basis. You're going to have that at any college, and for every student who displays ignorance, there's 100 right behind them displaying class. In a few weeks, when I'm walking through the collage of colors that drape the mall, and I see another student helping someone out, I'll know where I'm at, and I feel pretty good about that.
