Man's truck strikes multiple vehicles
A Philipsburg man's truck struck multiple vehicles without stopping while driving westbound on College Avenue Monday afternoon, State College police said.
Police said Paul Olenick, 34, was driving a Ford F150 westbound on College Avenue when the truck struck the rear of another vehicle as it turned on to Mount Nittany Expressway, knocking off its bumper and trunk. Olenick continued driving westbound on College Avenue, ran a red light at Millbrook Way and struck another vehicle driving south, police said.
Olenick's truck then jumped the curb, went up over an embankment into a Uni-Mart parking lot and continued driving westbound on College Avenue, police said.
Olenick was arrested at 1620 Puddintown Road and charged with driving under the influence. His blood alcohol content was .224 percent, police said.
