The five band members of Jimi Jive, all Erie natives, said they are excited to entertain the crowd with their music: A combination of rock and roll, alternative and indie styles.

"We use a lot of blues influence in most of our music," said Sean Dolan, Jimi Jive's bass player.

Paul Zielinski, one of the guitar players for Jimi Jive, said he is excited to play at Dragon Chaser's because "you're really close to the crowd."

The stage, which Jive vocalist Alex Katos helped build, allows for everyone at the show to be "right up close in the action," Zielinski said.

The band plans to play only original music.

Katos said he believes singers should move around on stage. He said he tries to provide this type of excitement for his audiences.

"I really like making it a theatrical performance almost," Katos said.

The guys of Jimi Jive are pumped to put on a show that Katos says "kind of skirts the line of ridiculousness in entertainment."

As for This Place is Haunted, the drummer, John "JT" Dubosky, said the band's progressive rock sound incorporates a "variety of cool chord progressions that make for very danceable music."

Dubosky said This Place is Haunted also plays all original music.

In addition, the band produces video game covers that Dubosky said the audience "will definitely know, but will hear in a different way."

Zielinski said the two bands are friends and they have wanted to play together for a long time.

Manager of Dragon Chaser's Emporium Abby Cain said the venue is excited to host the event.

"These bands are always a lot of fun, and we look forward to having them," Cain said.
