Actions better than words at making campus better
In response to previous letters and articles regarding Black Caucus, it is no surprise to hear accusations of this type; it is becoming an everlasting thorn in our Nittany Lion's paw. Granted, the Black Caucus may have quite valid and noble points, but it boils down to this: The students at Penn State are becoming more aggravated reading about these constant accusations, thereby fueling racial tensions. Thon is one of the most unifying events campuswide aside from football games and other major events. It's open to everyone who wishes to attend, and it's for the kids, not for the students to make accusations of racism. As far as the accusations with the senior gift, I personally feel that the senior class should be allowed to decide its fate. It's only fair because they are the ones who are presenting the gift to the college. I am in no way against any ethnic group, as I have many friends who belong to numerous ethnic groups. I'm simply suggesting that we start putting forth more cooperative effort and hard work because it will get us further than mindless accusations and bitching about every little problem in our personal lives.
