Punt said there will be audience seating on each side of the stage and partially behind the stage.
"If we could open seats behind the stage, we would easily sell them, but there would be no visibility," he said. "It's just such a great package. Nickelback is selling on its own, but with Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin, it's such a strong, strong concert."
Nickelback released its fifth album, All The Right Reasons, in 2005. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Magazine's Top 200 Albums Chart the week it was released, and reached platinum status in the U.S. with nearly 5 million sales.
In November, the group took home three awards at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles: Album of the Year, Best Band and Favorite Alternative Artist.
Long-time fan Kati-Ayn Garman (junior-history) said she hopes to hear a mix of older tunes and new singles Sunday.
"I think Nickelback is great because they're a band you can either rock out to or chill to," she said. "I know people who have seen them perform before, and they say they're amazing live. They just build you up and don't let you down."
Heather Ehrlich (freshman-kinesiology) said she's looking forward to a live rendition of "Animals," a fan favorite off All The Right Reasons.
"Nickelback has yet to disappoint me with any of their CDs, and their songs can match any mood," she said.
"I can go from a sappy love song to a rockin' song on each CD."
Breaking Benjamin, which is from Wilkes-Barre, is often described as American post-grunge.
The band, known for hits "Breath," "The Diary of Jane" and "Polyamorous," released its third studio album, Phobia, in 2006.
Three Days Grace, widely recognized for "I Hate (Everything About You)," "Animal I Have Become" and "Pain," released its second album last year.
Since forming in 1997, the band has been a mainstay on Billboard Magazine's Top Albums and Singles charts.
Last year "Pain" peaked at No. 1 as a Hot Mainstream Rock Track.
Eric Noll (junior-microbiology) said he is eager to see both the opening acts and the headliner perform.
"I got tickets mainly because of Breaking Benjamin, but I think Nickelback has a sound that's hard not to like," he said. "It'd be cool to see all three bands come out and sing a song or two together."
