PSU alum represents on Road Rules
A 2006 Penn State graduate will be appearing on MTV's Road Rules Challenge.

MTV has chosen yet another Penn State graduate to star in one of its reality TV shows -- Angel Turlington will appear on Road Rules 2007: Viewer's Revenge, airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m.

This season's Road Rules has a new spin. For the 14th season, Viewer's Revenge teams up six previous Road Rulers, called the Alumni, against six new competitors, the Pit Crew. Angel is a member of the Pit Crew.

The Alumni must compete in missions, and afterward the team is responsible for voting for one of its own to compete in a face-off against a member of the Pit Crew, who is nominated by visitors to the MTV Web site.

This is the first time MTV has shot a show that airs not long after production.

"What you watch on Tuesday is what we shot seven days before," Angel said.

A spring 2006 Penn State graduate, Angel said she auditioned while she was still a student. As a marketing major, Angel got a job at a marketing agency right after graduation and said she hopes to return to this field when the show ends.

"I don't want to be an actress," Angel added. "I want to use my degree. I'd like to go into fashion marketing after the show."

Angel said she's been having a lot of fun with the rest of the Pit Crew members making the show.

"The people who made it onto the show are outgoing," Angel said. "We developed a bond because we want to take out the Alumni."

As for the veterans, Angel said she loves certain things about each one of them.

"I love Adam's one-liners," Angel said. "Veronica is a nice person if you're on her good side."

However, even though she likes them, Angel said she still has to stay competitive.

"They are nice, but I want their spot on the RV," Angel said.

After going through a couple missions, Angel said even though things may look easy on TV, they are actually very challenging.

"I wasn't scared, but I told myself that I would give it my all," Angel said. "I've pushed my body more than ever before."

The show is only a few episodes deep, and Angel is hoping to get voted in next.

"I hope that everyone will support me," Angel said. "I cannot wait to get on the RV."
