I am writing this letter in response to the review about the Taking Back Sunday concert ("Sunday takes back Penn State," Feb. 23). Overall, the article depicted the concert accurately. However I found some of the writer's biased opinions about the bands offensive and inaccurate. While everyone has a right to his or her own opinion, this review featured unfair assessments of the band's performance and most notably the evaluation of the genre, which the band Underoath has single-handedly redefined. I found the review distasteful and in some ways insulting to very talented bands, which deserve the respect of a college newspaper reporter, who had no reason or right to criticize their name. It would be appreciated by music fans across campus and beyond to not have such inappropriate reviews written in our campus newspaper. Beyond this unfortunate article, I would like to commend you on a well written newspaper. Keep up the good work, and hopefully your reporter in question will restrain himself from such unacceptable reviews in the future.
