Three men assault student downtown
Three men assaulted an 18-year-old Penn State student walking alone early Sunday in the 400 block of East Foster Avenue, State College police said.
After the men bumped into the victim, one of the men head-butted the victim and they began fighting, police said. The two other men then began punching and kicking the victim, police said. Police said the victim did not know his attackers but described the man who head-butted him as a tall, skinny white man in a gray hooded sweatshirt and jacket. The victim said the other two men were white, of average build and wearing black jackets, according to police. Police said the men fled eastbound on Foster Avenue. The victim had a laceration above the left eye and was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment. He was not listed as a patient yesterday afternoon.
Police probe possible sexual assault
The boyfriend of a 21-year-old Penn State student reported early yesterday morning that his girlfriend was sexually assaulted. However, State College police said the victim was "extremely intoxicated," and officers were unable to gather any more information. Police said they would attempt to interview the victim again soon and the investigation is continuing.
Man arrested for selling marijuana
A State College man was arrested Friday for allegedly recruiting and selling marijuana to students at State College High School.
State College police said Joshua K. Emanuelson, 26, of 805 W. Aaron Drive, pulled into the high school parking lot and openly approached students to sell them marijuana. He was also building a network of student dealers within the school, police said.
Emanuelson used a locker at the YMCA, 677 W. Whitehall Road, where he was employed as a lifeguard, as a drop box where money and drugs were exchanged, Sgt. Chris Fishel said.
Emanuelson was charged with two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communications facility and two misdemeanor counts of corruption of minors and possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned Friday and is being held at the Centre County Correctional Facility.
Man arrested for forging prescription
A State College man was arrested Saturday for allegedly attempting to use a forged prescription to obtain a prescription drug at Wal-Mart, 1665 N. Atherton St., after successfully forging three separate prescriptions over a 48-hour period, police said.
Jonathan Sailor, 24, of Farmstead Lane, was arrested by Patton Township police and charged with four felony counts of using forged prescriptions and three misdemeanor charges of drug possession. Sailor was arraigned in front of District Justice Tom Jordan and released on $5,000 bond.
