Student writes letter from 'White Caucus'
Dear Penn State Administration: In light of the recent demands made by the Black Caucus ("Black Caucus confronts administrators," Feb. 22), I decided to make a few simple requests of my own. First, I insist that Penn State spend a minimum of $50,000 in labor, materials and other expenses to erect a statue in honor of Albert Einstein. This great scientist changed the world in different, but equally important ways as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I also request that an E=MC2 special living option (SLO) be created for students interested in physics. In fact, you better make one for those biology folks too. How about a statue and SLO for Jonas Salk? In addition, we need a Marie Curie SLO and a statue needs to be erected as soon as possible. You can't forget chemistry. If you could get on that right away, that would be great. And, if you don't, I'll sit outside your office, scream at you and never let you sleep until you do. You can't have your equality and your special requests at the same time, Black Caucus. Pick one. --The "White Caucus" Erin Nowelsky
