After a hard-fought weekend at Big Ten Championships in Columbus, Ohio, the Penn State men's swimming and diving team finished in seventh place out of 10 teams with a total of 295 points.
The highlight of the weekend for the Nittany Lions was sophomore Pat Schrink's runner-up finish in the final of the 200-yard backstroke. The second-place finish earned Penn State 17 team points, and gave Schrink 31 points overall.
The 400 freestyle relay team came in third place in the finals, earning 32 team points.
The trio of sophomores Chris Sullivan and David Kraft and freshman Ben Ryan earned 25 points for Penn State in the 1650 freestyle.
With the exception of platform diving, in which the Lions did not compete, Penn State scored in every event held at this year's conference championships.
