Living options maintain isolation and segregation

I was intrigued by the LGBTA "special living option" proposed by Black Caucus President Daryll Watson. Carving out separate campus housing for LGBTA students would go a long way toward fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment. But why stop there? Why not create similar special living options based on race, religion and national origin as well? One can imagine the benefits that a completely segregated campus would contribute to Penn State's cultural diversity. If university officials want to make good on their commitment to diversity, they should act quickly to give all students the option to isolate themselves from other cultures.
