The 2007 Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (Thon) raised a total of $5,240,385.17, breaking last year's record breaking total of $4,214,748.18 by $1,025,636.99.

As 702 dancers dropped to the ground, a sense of achievement surpassed signs of exhaustion.

After 46 hours and a 10-second countdown by overall chairman Mike Funk, The 2007 Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (Thon) has ended. Emotions running high, the entire Bryce Jordan Center can feel the dancers' pride and pain.

"You want [Thon] to succeed," Four Diamonds founder Charles Millard said. "It's astounding what has happened. The biggest fundraiser in the world."

Thon dancer Julie Meyers (senior-hotel and restaurant management) said she was "absolutely amazed" by Thon at the Bryce Jordan Center.

"[Thon is] everything I thought and more," she said. "The rewards are definitely worth [dancing]."
