Thon kids strut their stuff in show

Collegian Staff Writer

Strutting down the runway, Thon children tossed their hair and put some attitude into this year's kids' fashion show at the Bryce Jordan Center this morning.

Hosted by Project Runway alumna Angela Keslar, also a 1995 Penn State graduate, and Miss Delaware American Co-ed 2006, Jennifer Toggart (junior-media studies), the show showcased Thon children modeling new, donated clothes, that the children then got to keep.

The outfits were picked out for the children and they were escorted down the runway by Thon overalls, captains and committee members.

"Oh my god, it was awesome," Frank Kohler (senior-finance) said. "Dylan was non-stop energy. He could not wait to get out there," he added, referring to the child he escorted.

Before she took the stage, Madison Hill, 9, of York, said she thought the runway show would be fun.

Keslar said her experience hosting the show was "phenomenal."

"I had to keep myself from crying a couple times," she said.
