I would like to commend both the Penn State men's basketball team and the students of Penn State for all the heart and enthusiasm that was brought into the BJC against Ohio State on Wednesday night ("One shot from upset," Feb. 15).

To come within a final shot of defeating the No. 2 team in the nation says a lot about the determination and will of this team. The atmosphere and electricity given off by the fans was simply astounding. The true Penn State faithful never gave up on this team, and their support showed immensely. Nittany Lions and Nittwits alike, I applaud you.

For those of you who left or turned off the TV, you missed an excellent second half. For those who were there, we'll never forget.
