The Penn State athletic department announced that the annual Blue-White Game will kick-off at 2 p.m. April 21, after the conclusion of spring drills.
"We're still in the preliminary stages of planning for the game," Penn State sports information director Jeff Nelson said. "But we will have the same activities as last year, and we hope there will be no rain so the fans can get to enjoy them this year."
The pre-game festivities will include a carnival with children's games, food vendors, a game worn football apparel booth and a student entertainment stage. All of these activities will open on Friday April 20, and continue through the game on Saturday. Additional events will be announced as the contest approaches, Nelson said.
During the game, the spring football award winners and recipients of the PNC Bank "Player of the Game" from the 2006 season will be announced.
Also, the Penn State baseball team will be playing Northwestern on Friday and a double-header Saturday. Fireworks are tentatively planned for after Friday night's game, which is 6:35 start.
