Patton Township police are looking for two black men suspected of shooting a woman in the face at point-blank range in her Toftrees Avenue apartment last night.
The 24-year-old victim was lifeflighted to Hershey Medical Center last night, Patton Township Police Sgt. Frank Monroe said. It is unclear if she sustained injuries other than the gunshot wound, he said.
Police said the crime was not a "random act," and is "most likely not" related to other recent burglaries and assaults in the area.
A motive for the shooting is being investigated, he added.
The shooting occurred at about 9:30 p.m. yesterday in a third-floor apartment at 319 Toftrees Ave., police said.
The victim told police two black men were responsible, but could not provide any other description, Monroe said.
