Forecast Discussion
Mother nature is continuing to unleash its arctic assault on the
Northeast. The coldest air of this season will settle in the
Commonwealth for the rest of the week. Wind chill values will be as low
as -20 degrees, which can cause frostbite in half an hour or less for
exposed skin. On the positive side, this week will be accompanied with
brilliant sunshine and little precipitation. The only chance for snow
showers is on Wednesday morning, as a storm system zips to the south. A
slight warm up will be the trend for the remainder of the week; however,
temperatures will remain well below freezing.-- Prepared by the Campus Weather Service
