Attempted burglary occurs on campus
Three men entered an unsecured dorm room in Pinchot Hall early Sunday morning and attempted to steal items, Penn State University Police said.
However, police said the room's resident confronted the men and they fled the area without taking anything.
The victim did not know the men, but he was able to give descriptions of them, police said. Police said they could not release the descriptions because the matter was still under investigation.
Police said it was unclear if the matter was related to robberies earlier last weekend at two Beaver Hill apartments.
