SOMA to hold open mic night

Tonight, SOMA (Students Organizing the Multiple Arts) is presenting its first Open Mic Night at 9 in the Waring Commons Study Lounge. The event is the first in a series of monthly open mic events. Those who wish to perform should arrive at 8:30 p.m. to sign up for a 10-minute maximum time slot.

Show Organizer Jason Samlin (freshman-psychology) said all types of performances are welcome and that he is hoping for a nice variety of acts. Everything including poetry and prose readings, monologues or skits, stand-up comedy and musical performances are encouraged.
