At this time last year, Brett Farmiloe was just another college senior wondering where his career path would take him.

Traditionally, elections for student government officials take place in the spring, but the University Park Undergraduate Association will once again hold elections in the fall, in accordance with its constitution.

The attorney for the man accused of the murder of a Penn State senior in June appealed a county judge's decision to uphold a search warrant for financial documents regarding her client Friday.

The next major election is still more than a year away, but voters in Centre County have already been voicing concerns about the voting machines used in Pennsylvania.

After Ed DeChellis reflected on his team and himself following the Nittany Lions' lopsided defeat to Michigan State, the Penn State men's basketball coach figured it was time to make a much-needed phone call.

"Jose Quinones!" shouted the PA announcer during introductions at the Penn State men's volleyball annual alumni match this past Saturday. The crowd started cheering with most, perhaps, not knowing whom they were cheering for. But a man in his mid-to-late 20s waved to the crowd just the same as he must have waved hundreds of times during his playing days.

Team USA sought its first victory at the World University Games, and -- thanks to two Icers -- it almost captured that elusive "W."
