Bill Gaither tickets available today

Tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m. for gospel music favorite Bill Gaither and his Homecoming Friends, who will appear at the Bryce Jordan Center May 4 as part of the Give It Away Tour 2007. Tickets are priced $28.50 and $36.50 and will be available at the BJC ticket center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Downtown Theatre, the Altoona Campus ticket outlet or online at www.bjc.psu.edu.

Alumna makes next round of contest

A Penn State alumna is still in the running to qualify for the 3rd American Title Contest, a competition for unpublished writers to submit manuscripts and earn the chance at a publishing contest.

Jenny Gardiner, class of 1984, has moved on to the next round of the contest.

"It's kinda funny because now people are getting more into it," Gardiner said. "People I know and strangers are asking me how the contest is going."
